Privacy Policy

Peak Apps Studio ("we") makes Barnly. This policy says what the app does with your information. Short version: we collect nothing.
What Barnly stores
Your horses, photos you add, care reminders, history, feed plans, weights, contacts, costs and settings are stored only on your device. We have no account system, we do not receive any of it, and we run no analytics, advertising or tracking.
Weather forecast and place search
If you choose a place for the blanket advisor, the app asks Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com, a free weather service) for the forecast for that place's coordinates, and, when you search for a town by name, for matching places. Like any request on the internet this reveals your IP address to that service. No account, name, horse data or identifier is sent, and nothing is sent to us.
Location
Your location is used only when you tap "Use my location", once, to find the forecast. It is not stored beyond the place you keep in the app and is never shared. You can instead search for a town and never give location access.
Photos
The photo library picker is used only when you add a picture of a horse or to a log entry. Photos stay on your phone. The camera is not used.
Notifications
Reminders are local notifications created on your phone. No push service or server is involved.
Backups and care sheets
"Save a backup" and the care sheet create files on your device that you can send with the iOS share sheet. We never receive them. Photos are not included in the backup file.
Purchases
Purchases are handled by Apple. We do not see your payment details. Barnly checks your purchase status with the App Store on your device.
App updates
The app can download updates to its own code from Expo's update service (expo.dev). Like any download, this reveals your IP address and app version to that service. No personal content is included.
Children
Barnly is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone.
Your choices
You can delete everything from Me > Delete all my data, or by deleting the app. You can turn photos, location and notifications off for Barnly in iOS Settings at any time.
